Top 6 fun ideas for KIDS birthday PARTIES on the border - Life with the Lamsays

It seems to be party season at the moment, and we have a lot more followers compared to the last time I did a party ideas write up here. We really are spoilt for choice here on the border, and there's so many different ways to celebrate your child's special day with their friends.

You could keep it simple and budget friendly by hosting a party at your house, one of the local playgrounds (Sumsion Gardens is very popular), or if you only want to entertain a couple of extra people, maybe a trip to the cinema and Intencity afterwards? However, if you're looking to host for multiple kids, but you're not quite sure where to pick, have a look at our guide here to help with your decision making.

Indoor pool party (Wodonga, VIC)

Wodonga Leisure Centre allow you to hire out a section of the pool, as well as the  area upstairs, for the ultimate indoor pool party. It's a great option in winter, as the outdoor pool is closed. There's also a more shallow pool for the smaller kids, or not so confident swimmers, and a baby pool for the really little bubs. Our niece & nephew recently had a joint party here for all of their friends, and they all had an awesome time.

Bounce (Wodonga, VIC)

If you're on the Victorian side of the border, Bounce is a really popular party venue. They have climbing walls, giant trampolines where you can do tricks or play dodgeball, and there's a soft play area for the smaller kids too. It's a great one for burning off energy, and the kids have an absolute ball there. They have a cafeteria for food and drinks.

Vortex (Wagga Wagga, NSW)

If you happen to be closer to Wagga on the NSW side of the border, Vortex is a really cool entertainment centre with a huge soft play area for all the kids, climbing walls similar to Bounce, but they also have dodgems and VR headsets. They too have a cafeteria so you can grab a coffee or a bite to eat whilst the kiddos play. Also note, there's a bowling alley next door to Vortex, but I'm sure after a play in the entertainment centre, they'll be completely worn out.

Al's Skate Co  (Wodonga, VIC)

An indoor skating party is an epic way to celebrate your special day with your best mates. You book for 2 hours and get use of the party room, as well as the indoor skate park, and it’s BYO food, drink and gear. You can ride your bike, skateboards, roller skates etc. Hunter made good use of his balance bike here at his cousin's birthday party here, and everyone really enjoyed it.

Inflatable Funhouse (Wodonga, VIC)

You can book a party room here, and there are 6 different themes to choose from. Hot food must be cooked and brought to centre in foil containers enabling us to put in the warmer to keep hot, as they don't have the facilities on site to cook food. As well as the party room, the kids can run wild on the different inflatables. They also have VR headsets at their venue, and it's right near Bounce.

Rumble Tumbles (Albury NSW)

A great soft play centre for hosting your next birthday bash. There's arcade games, a designated toddler area, and they also have a vibrant party room. You can choose from a range of different themes here too, so your little one's party is personalised to their liking. They have a contact form at the bottom of their website if you'd like to enquire. Our niece had a party here, and Hunter was only little. He still had fun crawling all over the floor, so we'll have to take him now that he's much older. They have slides, and a great play area.

Whatever you choose, whichever side of the border, I'm sure everyone will have a great time - happy celebrating!

Until next time!
