Spring School holiday guide for Albury Wodonga - Life with the Lamsays

School is officially OUT! Now you've got to find ways to keep the kids entertained without breaking the bank! If you've been following us for a while now, you know The Lamsays have got you covered these school holidays.

If you're looking for vacation care for ages 6 and over, Al's Skate Co are running their program from Monday 23rd September right through until 11th October - which covers both VIC & NSW school holidays. Spots are limited though, so click HERE to grab your kids a place!

For kids aged 5-14, Risky Kids have their own school holiday program running to keep the kids entertained for 3 hours whilst also getting active. Find out more info HERE.

For the little ones, PlayWise Playful Learning are running casual school holiday classes for children 0-5 years from Tuesday 1st- Friday 4th October. Check out their website and contact them to book in.

If your babes enjoy getting their hands dirty in the garden, why not sign them up for Gardening Club with Bunnings? Click HERE to see what's on at our local stores, and scroll to the bottom of the page. Don't forget, there's also a playground and a cafe at the Albury Wodonga stores.

Hyphen Gallery in Wodonga have a Bird Collage workshop on for kids aged 7-12 years. Bookings are required, so click HERE for more info. And you can also pop into Hyphen to check out the new exhibits upstairs, or look at books with the little ones.

Bee-Bot Robots are programmable floor robots that can turn on the spot and move backward and forward. There's a workshop aimed at 5-8 year olds, that's running on Thursday 26th September at Tallangatta Library. The kids will learn how to program the Bee-Bot during this workshop, and then design a road and a maze for the bee-bot to travel through. Click HERE to book. This workshop is also running on different dates at Chiltern Library, and Yackandandah Library.

If you live towards Rutherglen, this one might be for you! Cardboard Constructions is aimed at 5-12 year olds, and is being held at the Rutherglen Library on Wednesday 25th September. They will be transforming everyday cardboard into extraordinary creations, from rocket ships and robots to buildings, airplanes, and more. Click HERE to book now, as this event is almost full!

Aside from all of these wonderful programs and workshops that are running in and around the local area, here's a few more ideas that you can do at any time, but will be great during the school holidays too.

Swimming at one of the local pools. We love the Wodonga Leisure Centre because it's nice and warm. An assisted swim is only $5.90, and we usually go to McDonald's after for a treat (using the Maccas app of course). The one at Birallee also has an awesome playground - bonus!

There are so many wonderful playgrounds to check out, there's a few out at Thurgoona which are really good - Ernest Grant is popular, and the Brooklyn Fields estate has two different ones. Leneva has had a couple pop up recently too which are awesome, and Jindera Adventure playground is worth the drive out!

Now the weather is warming up, it's perfect for sitting outside enjoying a nice coffee and a bite to eat. Check out some of the places we've reviewed HERE for somewhere new to try.

Whatever you choose to do these school holidays, have fun and be safe!

Until next time!
