Family guide to KIDS eat FREE in Albury-Wodonga - Life with the Lamsays

Money is tight for a lot of us at the moment, and many have cut going out for dinner with their families from their monthly budget. So to make it a little cheaper, I’ve compiled a range of family friendly places to eat, that have kids eat free nights, in Albury-Wodonga.

We’re lucky to have so much choice on both sides of the border, and a fair few places have playgrounds or entertainment areas for kids too, so you can somewhat enjoy your meal in peace on a night out - sounds good right?!

On Mondays, our local, The Birallee Tavern, have kids eat free. So with every adult meal purchased, you can pick a meal for your kids with no extra charge. The meals are pizza/chips, nuggets/chips etc, and they’re decent portions too. But if you’re looking for somewhere for the kids to have a play afterwards, McDonald’s is next door and their playground is a huge hit with Hunter.

Huon Hill in Wodonga have recently been taken over by new management and now have kids eat free with any main meal on Tuesday’s. They also have a kids play space - Little Legends Lounge - a great new edition making it a lot more family friendly than it’s been in previous years.

Brady’s Railway Hotel in Albury have brought back kids eat free on Tuesday’s, so if you haven’t been here yet, make sure you check them out! Their playground is the one featured in this post.

On Wednesdays, The Lincoln on the causeway have kids eat free, and they have the usual nuggets & chips etc, but they also have a steak option for the little ones - it’s a pretty decent size too! They have a small kids area just as you come in the door, with books & toys etc. The Boat Shed out at Lake Hume also have kids eat free on Wednesdays too if you feel like trying somewhere different - we haven’t eaten here yet, but I’m sure we’ll get there one day!

The Albion have kids eat free from Tuesday’s to Fridays but there are a few conditions: it’s only between 5pm-6pm, the adult must order a full price main meal or classic, and it doesn’t apply on public holidays or special events.

On Saturdays, Elgins, in the heart of Wodonga, have kids eat free, and they also have a children’s playground and media room to keep the kids busy whilst you eat! The plaza is across the road, and not too far away is Richardson Park and Topolino Gelateria which is a great after dinner treat.

On Sundays, The Clubhouse Bar & Bistro in Wodonga have kids eat free on Sunday’s and they have a small area for the kids with a couch and tv, some toys, and a colouring section. My mother in law goes here a fair bit for lunch with her friends and they always love the food there!

Hopefully this has given you some ideas of new places to eat, so you can spend some time out enjoying good food, whilst also saving you a little bit of money.

Until next time!
