Riverside Adventure Playground, Wagga Wagga NSW - Life with the Lamsays

Riverside Adventure Playground in Wagga is the best playground we’ve been to on the NSW side of the border. We haven’t ventured as far as Sydney since we started reviewing playgrounds, and I’m sure there’s some great ones, but this one was a $9.6 million dollar project - so you’d expect it to be amazing. And with it being featured in our very first blog post, of course I had to do a review of it on its own.

We hadn’t been back to this playground since February last year, and Hunter seemed to enjoy it just as much, if not more, this time. Being that year older, he really gave most of the equipment a go, and a lot of the time, he didn’t want any help with it either.

This playground has equipment for all ages - they have sand, a cool water feature, lots of different slides, mini trampolines, rock climbing bits, a flying fox - they pretty much have everything!

The park is conveniently located next to Wagga Beach, so on a hot day, you can cool off afterwards in the water. There’s also The Black Crow Beach Cafe right between them, where you can grab a coffee or a bite to eat.

If you haven’t checked this one out yet, but you’re not from the area, you can definitely make a day out of it by visiting Wagga Zoo in their Botanical Gardens (there’s a couple of parks there too), tiring the kids out at Vortex, and having a look around the shops at Marketplace shopping centre. There’s plenty of choice for food, and some other playgrounds around the area that we’ll have to check out next time!

 Until next time!
