Shellbrook Park, Thurgoona NSW - Life with the Lamsays
This awesome, fully fenced play-space is located within the Brooklyn Fields estate in Thurgoona. You have to drive past the smaller community playground to get there, but the equipment at this one is aimed at slightly older kids and we had lots of fun here.
A mum who’s recently moved to Australia with her family posted it on her Instagram story, and she showed me where it was so we didn’t get lost trying to find this one - so thank you if you’re reading this!
When we went for a play today, there were little ones of all ages here as there was a birthday party happening. Even a few of the mums were getting stuck in which was awesome to see!
On the larger climbing frame, there’s a big tube slide, a smaller double slide, a spiderweb for climbing, as well as a couple of climbing walls. There’s also a swing set, some wooden beams for practicing balancing, and a section for little ones to play cafes.
It has shade sails, over one section of the playground, and there’s seating with covers - perfect for having a birthday party there. There’s also bins, public toilets, and even a tennis court.
So if you’re looking for a new park to check out, have a drive out to Thurgoona and check it out - it was a nice one to go to on this beautifully sunny day!
