Sealife Aquarium, Melbourne VIC - Life with the Lamsays

Today we visited Sealife Aquarium in Melbourne and Hunter loved seeing all the beautiful sea creatures they had there! I would definitely recommend getting there a bit before they open if you want to avoid the long queue!

Nana Sue got him an explorer pack for on the way round when she booked our tickets - Hunter had to ask the staff what their favourite sea animal was, and they’d tell him and give him a card with that animal on it.

At the gift shop at the end, he asked the lady at the till the same question, and she gave him all the cards he was missing plus a few doubles, and he also got a toy penguin, and he picked out a hammerhead shark, his favourite shark.

We saw a huge crocodile, lots of different fish (including Nemo & Dory), a big crab, a couple of little sharks, and Hunter got to pet a starfish! There’s lots to check out, and we spent about an hour and a half here.

For the kids that are slightly older (5 and above), they have Happy Feet in 4D playing there - I don’t think Hunter would’ve minded the special effects, he just didn’t want to wait for it to start, so we kept moving along until we saw Pesto the famous penguin (the reason for the extra long queue to get in)!

We took Hunter a few years ago, but it was definitely more fun taking him now that he’s almost 4! He was again, like at the zoo, much more excited to go round and see the animals. We’d definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t already, and the weather was beautiful too!
