Melbourne Zoo, VIC - Life with the Lamsays

Almost a year later, we visited Melbourne Zoo again. Hunter was so much more engaged this time, and was so excited to see the animals. The reptiles mesmerised him, he had a ride on the carousel, had his face painted, and by the time we’d looked at all of the animals too, he didn’t even notice the gift shop on our way out.

There are so many animals to see - Hunter loved the reptiles, the sea creatures, the lions and the elephants the best. But we also saw the dingos, went into the butterfly enclosure, and so much more! We were there for at least 3 hours, and we could’ve easily stayed longer if Hunter wasn’t so exhausted.

There’s a food court so you can grab a bite to eat when you’re feeling like a break. There’s also a couple of playgrounds for the kids, as well as Keeper Kids which is made up of a range of activities designed for 0-8 year olds.

Kids 3 and under have FREE entry all year round, and kids ages 4-15 have FREE entry on weekends & school holidays. If you become a member, you get unlimited access to all 4 zoos.

If you’re looking for an awesome family-friendly day out in Melbourne, and you haven’t been to the zoo yet, make sure you do! We all had lots of fun, and Hunter didn’t race off like he did last time, which made it a much more enjoyable trip!

 Until next time!
