Hyphen Library and Gallery, Wodonga VIC - Life with the Lamsays

It's crazy to think that last time I did a write up about the Wodonga Library, it was over a year ago. In that time, we've borrowed a fair few books, we haven't done a StoryTime session since then, however, I have been using their computers to write up blog posts, like this one, as well as write our newsletter.

They have some fantastic exhibitions on in the gallery upstairs, and they change fairly frequently which is great. We always love checking them out when we're here. We also took part in a friendship bracelet making workshop that they held during the school holidays a while back. Hunter (3) and his cousins (11 and 8) all really enjoyed this one, and the room where it was held was packed. They have also done Lego building sessions which my friend and her kids of various ages enjoyed doing as well - the next one is Friday, 5 Jul 2024 @10:30AM in the Community Studio and is  FREE event recommended for 5-12 year olds.

Hyphen have a great selection of books, as well as a nice calm space for studying if you need somewhere quiet to sit. The Cube is next to the library, and they also host an array of events. We're booked in to see The Gruffalo later on this year, and they have Grug on this week - Thursday, 27 Jun 2024 @10.30AM which is FREE, but make sure you give them a call to check if there's still seats available on 0260229330. Hunter has his last day of Kindergarten so unfortunately we'll be missing this one. For the older book lovers, on the same day at the library itself, there's a Book Tasting event on from 6PM until 7.30PM. The cost of the event is FREE with drinks available at bar prices. This event is 18+ and call 026022 9330 for enquiries.
