Close Collective Cafe, Wodonga VIC - Life with the Lamsays

Close Collective Cafe is a social enterprise eatery, that combines high-quality food with the opportunity for patrons to give back to their community.

Formerly known as Cafe Grove, this gorgeous venue has now been renamed Close Collective Cafe after closing its doors for quite some time. They serve great coffee in a relaxing environment with a great choice of food, including sweet treats, which is what I opted for! 

It was established in 2023, and the name Close Collective is a dedication to a valued staff member, Kate Close, who passed away from cancer in 2022, was a strong advocate for young people and her passion is reflected in this new enterprise. Collective represents the idea of bringing individuals and organisations together for the collective good of the community.

Now as part of a connected social impact project, the profits from the café will contribute to the running of the youth space next door, Windbreak 3690. And most importantly, 100% of their profits go towards supporting their programs to help alleviate youth homelessness, which includes their training program, launching later this year.
