Retro Lane Cafe & Youth Space, Albury NSW - Life with the Lamsays

It was a no school, no work day today, so we hopped on the bus after swimming lessons over to Albury. We checked out the library first, Hunter had a play with their toys, and we got a few books out as well.

On our way out, we stopped in at Retro Lane Cafe - a vibrant open space, with a budget friendly menu and friendly staff too! There’s chicken nuggets & chips for the kids, their babycino’s come with sprinkles, chocolate powder and marshmallows, and they have a variety of other options to choose from.

As well as the cafe side of things, Retro Lane also run programs for the youth of Albury Wodonga - its aim is to be a safe drop-in space for youngsters. They have a pool table, a piano, computers for people to use. They also run regular Friday night gigs, school holiday/after school programs, homework/study assistance, arts and performance workshops, resume writing, job seeking skills, and much more. And if you’re under 25, you can use your Youth Connect Card and receive a discount - just show it when ordering.

We loved the comfy couches whilst waiting for our food, and will definitely come here again! There’s options for indoor or outdoor seating, so if it’s nice and sunny, you can sit and enjoy the views of QEII square. It’s also super close to the bus stop, and right next to the Albury Library, so you don’t have to walk far at all to get there. Total winner for us!

 Until next time!
