*NEW UPDATE* Alan Cracknell Park, Wodonga VIC - Life with the Lamsays

We hadn’t visited this playground prior to its recently update by Wodonga Council. However, we decided to check out Alan Cracknell park on Allambie Crescent today for a small long weekend adventure in town.

The new climbing frame is great for the bigger kids (and parents too as little man wanted to take photo of me on it), and Hunter was a big fan of the roundabout. It’s low to the ground which is good for little ones, however not so great for parents having to bend right over to push them around on it.

Whilst the park has natural shade thanks to the nearby trees, a shade sail wasn’t installed here. The swing set wasn’t updated, however the swing for the bigger kids is a bit high (maybe we’re all just too short), but it could do with being lowered a little to make it easier to get onto.

The slide also wasn’t updated, however a power wash, and a paint job on the swing set probably wouldn’t have gone a miss during the process to get it all looking nice and new again. There’s a bin here too so you can put all your rubbish in it if you decide to take a picnic here.

If you’re looking for a park that’s similar with a bit more for the kids to do, check out John Schwind park in Wodonga instead. It has brand new equipment, and we really loved playing here.

 Until next time!
