Our 5 most visited spots in Albury Wodonga in 2023 - Life with the Lamsays
We went to the Albury skate park so many times! Little man loves cruising around on his balance bike, so we’ll have to head out there again soon. Definitely a place for all the cool kids to hang out, and it’s so cute watching the other little kids on their bikes chase each other around. And of course, watching the older people do tricks - it always fascinates Hunty.
We had a few sessions at Bounce. Hunter and I went by ourselves once, another time we went with his cousins and Nanny, and his day care Christmas party was held there too. Another great place to burn energy for the whole family!
We made the most out of having an indoor swimming pool close by and went to the leisure centre a lot last year. Hunter did swimming lessons elsewhere, but I’d take him there the day after and it really seemed to help him excel in the lesson the following week.
The library is somewhere we went to lots last year, sometimes we wouldn’t even get books out, Hunter would just play on the interactive floor and we’d ride in the lift to see what exhibits were on in the gallery upstairs. A great place to go because it’s free, and it seems to keep little man’s interest! It’s also nice and cool in there, so it’s a great way to beat the heat.
Last but not least, we walked to Sumsion Gardens a lot. A few times our friends came to get us and we’d do a couple of laps together before the kids had a play in the playground. But despite it being on the other side of town, it would always be the park Hunter wanted to go to, so we did - it’s probably a good 30-40 minute walk from home, but it gets my steps in for the day and it’s the biggest playground in Wodonga!
I wonder where we’ll spend a lot of time this year? Hunter will be at school all week starting in February, and us mums will be working, so we’ll just have to have lots of after school and weekend adventures until daylight savings ends.
Hopefully this gave you some inspiration for things to do during the school holidays though, and they’re all either cheap or free, so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank!
Until next time!
