MAMA - Murray Art Museum Albury - Life with the Lamsays

After a swim at the leisure centre this morning, we caught the bus over to Albury and checked out MAMA - Murray Art Museum Albury. It’s free entry, and there’s a kids gallery in there too!

At the moment, they have the Shelfie exhibit by Susie Losch, which looks at the beauty of everyday things, seeing possibilities in shape and form and the vibrant colours. This exhibit is a permanent part of the kids gallery, but a new artist will take over every year, creating new opportunities to play and learn through artist-led installations.

As well as that exhibit, there’s also a couple of colouring tables where kids can get creative, and 4 doors to find and open, with smiley face handles on them!

The other exhibits aren’t for little fingers to touch, so unless they’re in the pram or on a harness, I wouldn’t advise taking them around the other parts of the museum.

We were able to leave our pram in their storage cupboard though, which was great and saved us from carting it around. There’s a gift shop in the downstairs area near the main entry/exit, and there’s toilets there too which was brilliant! You can grab some food nearby at Canvas Eatery just outside MAMA, which we’re yet to try - we headed to McDonald’s instead of course!

 Until next time!
