What a year we’ve had - Life with the Lamsays
We’re almost at the end of the year, and it’s crazy to think that it’s already December! Are you ready for Christmas yet? The house is decorated (thank you Nanny), and we have a bit more to pay off our Laybuy that we put on at Big W for Hunter’s presents, but other than that, I don’t think we’re far off being ready. Also, how great is Laybuy? We only tend to use it at the end of the year because Hunter’s birthday is at the beginning of November, and Christmas isn’t too far away from that, so it makes it easier to shop the sales and pay it off gradually.
Thank you to everyone who’s followed along with our journey this year, whether you just read this blog, or follow us on our Facebook page or Instagram accounts as well, we really appreciate it! We’ve loved all of the adventures we’ve been on, and we’ve really enjoyed sharing it with all of you. Next year Hunter is off to Kindy as well as day care, so whilst our adventures will mostly be during the weekends, we’ll still be sharing lots here on our blog. We’ve been to Bright, Beechworth, Mansfield, Wagga Wagga, Wangaratta, Yarrawonga, as well as taking a few trips to different parts of Melbourne.
We’ve been to 40 playgrounds in the Albury Wodonga region, and 12 playgrounds in Melbourne. Hunter has almost completed his first term of swimming lessons, and is so close to achieving his next belt at Kinder Ninjas. He’s tried Gymbaroo, Circus Tots and Multi Sports, as well as going to a few different playgroups in the area. We’ve been berry picking, visited animal farms, and we still have so many places left on our bucket list to visit.
Today we went up to Huon Hill to take some updated family photos. We took a tripod so we could get some of all three of us this time, and whilst those ones turned out a little blurry, we have plenty of high quality ones over on Instagram. If you want some great photos but can’t afford a photographer to capture some family snaps, grab yourselves a tripod from Kmart, get your smart phone, and set it up at your favourite location! Self-timer is a God send, or some tripods come with a little clicker that connects to your phone via Bluetooth, and then you just press the button and snap away.
Thank you so much for reading all of our posts, and we look forward to sharing more of our life with you. Here’s to more fun at the playgrounds, enjoying more delicious food at some great local cafes, and taking the occasional road trip out of town to explore new places!
