High Grove Berry Farm, Stanley VIC - Life with the Lamsays

Today we ventured out past Beechworth and into Stanley, and picked some delicious berries at High Grove Berry and Cherry Farm. They have blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, cherries and more! The weather was really hot, but luckily some parts are quite shaded by leaves. You can pay a small fee to be able to taste the berries whilst you pick as well, so that was great because Hunter hadn’t tried a few of them before.

We brought a large container for all of our berries, and grabbed another one whilst we were there for our cherries, because they get weighed by themselves. They also have a little shop where you can get drinks, berry slushies, berry ice cream, jams, preserves and more - but just note that it’s cash only!

We hadn’t been out here before and we had such a fun morning! We’ll definitely have to head out here again, and compared to the price you pay for berries at the supermarket, these are really reasonable. It’s a great way to get outdoors, spend time as a family, and enjoy your pickings together too.

On our way back home, we stopped at Beechworth Ice Creamery for a cone each, because you can’t come through Beechworth and not grab one - chocolate is the best flavour!

Until next time!
