The Red Stag Deer and Emu Farm, Eurobin - Life with the Lamsays

We took a trip out to the Red Stag Deer and Emu Farm in Eurobin, Victoria for my birthday. It’s just over an hour’s drive away from us, but when it’s a gorgeous day, it’s a great place to take the little ones to do something different.

I’ve included this farm in my second post, but that was back in February, so I thought it was about time I wrote about it again for all of you newbies, and gave it a post all by itself.

They have deer, emus, goats, chickens & alpacas. Hunter loves feeding the emus because they peck their heads in his bucket, which cracks him up. And next to where the baby goats enclosure is, there’s a slide, which is always a win! Although this time, Hunter said his favourite animals were the reindeer. Can you tell he’s excited for Christmas already?

There’s a gift shop where you buy the animal feed from, but it’s also full of fun things for all ages - puzzles, toys, oils, home decor etc, and then as you go further in, there’s seating so you can grab something to eat at their restaurant. If you’re just feeling like an ice cream instead, there’s a fridge full of those too.

If you’re just buying feed, it’s $5 for half a bucket, and $10 for a full bucket. We ended up buying 2 full buckets this time, and we spent about an hour out there.

With Christmas holidays fast approaching, it’s a great place to take the kids to get some fresh air, have some fun feeding the animals, and there’s some stunning views to look at too.

I’m sure it won’t be the last time we come out here for a visit!

 Until next time!
