Activities for young kids in Albury Wodonga - Life with the Lamsays
Kinder Ninjas age 3-5 years / Kids Karate age 5-11 years
These programs are run by Albury Wodonga Martial Arts in Wodonga, and are perfect for keeping your kids active, as well as working on coordination and discipline. Hunter has taken a while to concentrate for the whole half an hour, but each week he gets a bit better. It’s great to see him enjoy himself at Kinder Ninjas, and this activity goes week by week rather than by term. For more info on the classes run by AWMA, click HERE.
Circus tots age 2.5-3.5 years & 3.5-4.5 years / Circus preschool / Circus Arts age 4-6 years
These classes are run by The Fruit Fly Circus in Albury, and they’re great for working on balance, coordination, and as the kids progress, they start to work on circus skills such as the trapeze etc. Hunter did a term of the younger Circus Tots class, and for weeks after it was over, he’d ask to go to “circus school” each Thursday. It was great to watch his progression and confidence grow each week. Read more about their public classes HERE.
Mini Bounce Squad age 2-5 years / Bounce squad age 5-7 years
These classes are run at Bounce Inc in Wodonga, and they work on building confidence, as well as teaching the fundamental movement skills and learning about taking safe risks. This sounds like it would be right up Hunter’s alley, so we might look into this at a later date. You also get access to Bounce throughout the week when you’re in these classes, so it’s great value for money. Read more info about it HERE.
Kindergym age 1-3 years & 3-5 years
These classes are ran by the PCYC in Albury is a program of parent/adult assisted Gymnastics-based classes with a focus on learning through play. The kids will also learning to roll, climb, jump and swing all while having fun and socialising with parents and other children. This is an affordable activity that’s a great class to then lead on to Gymnastics in the future. Read more about it HERE.
Until next time!
