Checking out Wodonga Toy Library - Life with the Lamsays

Today Hunter and I checked out our local Toy Library which is held at Wodonga West Primary School on Tuesdays from 12.30pm-2.30pm, and Saturdays from 9am-12pm. Toy libraries lend out toys and developmental  equipment to help your child grow and learn new skills.

It’s volunteer run, and you can choose your level of membership depending on your budget, and how many toys you’d like to borrow.

There’s bronze, silver, gold and other. Bronze gives you 2 toys and 1 puzzle, silver is 4 toys and 1 puzzle, gold is 6 toys and 2 puzzles, and other is the most expensive, so this would enable you to borrow even more toys and puzzles.

You can swap the toys over weekly or fortnightly, which is great for little ones who get bored of toys pretty easily, or for those of you in smaller houses or units with limited space. It means you don’t feel like you have to spend lots of money on toys for your little ones, you can just change them over regularly, meaning lots more space for other things.

Hunter the hurricane had a ball getting everything out and testing all of the ride on toys. He pretended to make us cups of tea, and loved having a nosy at everything the toy library had on offer.

You can also pop in with toys you’d like to donate (they don’t accept soft toys), but if you’ve got some plastic or wooden ones hanging at the bottom of your toy boxes that you no longer need, definitely consider taking them here.

If this sounds like something you’d like to do, pop down to the primary school next Tuesday!

Until next time!
