We did the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk in Albury

“The Wagirra Trail links Horseshoe Lagoon with the South Albury Trail at the Union Bridge. There are many places to stop and picnic or just enjoy the tranquillity of the Murray River.”

The trail features fifteen sculptures created by local Aboriginal artists, and they’ve been placed along the 5kms of trail.

Spring is finally here, so we thought we would do some of the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk in Albury NSW today. The sun was shining, Hunter rode on his balance bike, and enjoyed getting some steps in for the day! Hunter’s favourite sculpture was the Guguburra’s. We also saw the Reconciliation Sheila, the Googar Goanna, the Wirajuri Woman, and the Teamjng Life of Mikaela Billa. We didn’t follow the entire trail, so we’ll have to do it again another day to see the rest of the sculptures.

We saw a few turtles in the water, and there were a fair few people out today doing the walk too, so Hunty was happy that he got to pet some dogs along the way.

If you love a good bush walk, and you have energetic kids that need to burn off some energy, grab your bikes, or just jump in your car and get out to Albury to walk/ride this awesome trail.

Until next time!
