A week in the life of Hunter Neo

Now that Mumma is back to full-time work, Nanny is retired, and I’m down to a couple of days at work per week, I thought I’d give you a run down of our little man’s week. We’re always keeping him busy doing something, so here’s a week in the life of a crazy toddler with way too much energy.

Monday’s and Tuesday’s are generally Hunter’s more chilled out days at home, as the mums are both working, and he stays home with Nanny. Sometimes they catch up with friends at Donut King, or grab a coffee somewhere, but because it’s cooler now, they usually prefer to stay home in the warm. However, there’s a council run playgroup on Monday mornings which I’ve enrolled him for, so Nanny is going to take him to that starting next week.

On Wednesday’s, Nanny takes Hunter to Toddler Playtime at Victory for an hour and a bit, which he loves! They have morning tea there, do some activities inside, and then they get to play on the playground near the end of the session. There’s only been a handful of kids there each time too, so  it’s always easy for Nanny to get cute shots without other kids being in the background.

On Thursday mornings we have Circus Tots at Fruit Fly Circus, it’s an hour long class that tires Hunter out, so he’s well and truly exhausted by nap time. But because it finishes at 10.30am, we still have some time to kill afterwards. He had a run around in the Children’s Garden this week at the botanic gardens in Albury. He was looking for fairies and racing around telling me that we’re going to be late (not sure what for though)! Once this term of circus finishes, I’m thinking we’ll probably go swimming instead, and then take it easy for the rest of the day.

On Friday mornings, it’s playgroup again, but this time it’s at the Felltimber Community Centre. He gets to run around crazy for a couple of hours with kids of all different ages up to 5 years old. They play both inside and outside. There’s puzzles, a playground, outdoor toys with wheels, and morning tea is provided too. He always scoffs his sandwiches down! After we’re done there at 11.30am, we walk home, and with any luck, he falls asleep on the way. If not, he’s ready to be tucked in when we get home which is great!

When the weekend finally comes around, we try to still do something as a family, without it being too full on. We usually go to a park so that Hunter can have a play. Sometimes we take his balance bike, or a soccer ball to kick around. By the time Sunday afternoon is here, we’re all ready for an early night & ready to do it all again the following week.

Until next time!
