Small playgrounds on the Albury-Wodonga border

We’ve travelled far and wide for the last couple of months visiting some awesome playgrounds. We’ve gone as far as Wagga Wagga in NSW, and Wangaratta, Mansfield, even Melbourne, in VIC.

We’ve also visited a few small playgrounds that are a bit closer to home that we can go to on a regular basis. They’ve got more for younger kids, and Hunter had a ball at all of them!

Ernest Grant Park, Thurgoona NSW

This park had a double slide, a tube slide, a rope bridge (which Hunter managed to do by himself after a while), a flying fox, and a huge sea-saw. It has a nice shaded picnic area too, but when we went the first time, someone was having a birthday party, so we didn’t want to intrude.

Southside Terrace Playground, Wodonga VIC

This play area is located just outside Platinum Brew Cafe, so it’s perfect if you want to grab a bite to eat & then eat it outside whilst your little one plays. We went here during one of my lunch breaks, as it isn’t far from my work. It doesn’t have too much there, but Hunter was able to do everything by himself, and I had fun trying to teach him how to do the hopscotch that’s painted on the floor.

Gertrude Colquhoun Park, Albury NSW

This playground was a great place for us to play whilst Mumma had a phone appointment. We hadn’t been here before, but it was another smaller park where Hunter could do a lot of it by himself. He wanted me to go on the slide with him of course, and they had a horse sea-saw that we sung “horsey horsey don’t you stop” I don’t know how many times.

If you enjoy discovering smaller parks around the Albury-Wodonga area, let us know in the comments, as I’m sure we can go and try out some others in the future!

Until next time!
